The Horizontal Issues section of DIAMAP is designed to review issues that span the breadth of diabetes research Europe-wide, particularly general issues that can improve the efficiency of research and its translation to benefit the individual.

Also addressed are the overarching roadblocks identified through the discipline-specific concerns raised by the sub-groups, along with strategies and recommendations to overcome them.
