The 2nd Annual European Diabetes Policy Summit will take place on October 8th, 2019, in The Hague, the Netherlands.
As a follow-up to last year’s European Diabetes Policy Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark, this year’s event aims to bring together policy-makers and advocates from across Europe
with the purpose of:
- Discussing evidence-based practices in the area of cost-effective policy-making to
- prevent complications in people with diabetes
- effectively implement up-to-date clinical guidelines
- Continuing the planning that was commenced at the Copenhagen Summit on how European countries can bring their local stakeholders together to set targets to prevent and reduce disease burden for people with diabetes.
In addition, this year’s European Diabetes Policy Summit will launch policy recommendations with a view to stimulate discussions and actions with policy-makers, payers and other key stakeholders to ensure people with diabetes are put at the forefront of any policy change efforts. The European Diabetes Policy Summit is organised and funded by AstraZeneca in collaboration with Primary Care Diabetes Europe (PCDE) and endorsed by Medtronic.
